According to the airline, the flight schedule is optimally designed to transport passengers from major cities in Europe such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, Manchester, Milan, Rome or major cities in the US to Da Nang.
Da Nang is the third destination in Vietnam that the airline has chosen to operate flights to, after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, to connect wealthy customers from the Middle East to the city on the Han River.
Flight EK370 is scheduled to depart from Dubai at 9:00 and arrive in Bangkok at 18:25, then depart from Bangkok at 20:10 and land in Da Nang at 21:05. In the opposite direction, flight EK371 leaves Da Nang at 23:30 to arrive in Bangkok at 1:10, then departs at 3:40 to land in Dubai at 6:50.
According to Mr. Adnan Kazim, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of the airline, the expansion of operations to Da Nang comes at an opportune time, right after the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Vietnam. The new route will enhance bilateral trade relations and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism Truong Thi Hong Hanh said the new route will promote the city to 150 countries and territories, helping to attract tourists and traders, especially when it is about to become an international financial center and free trade zone.
